Swinburne Student Life is a wholly owned company of Swinburne University of Technology with student representation on its board and exists to provide quality services and outcomes to students, in a transparent and cost-effective way. These services include Clubs and Societies, Sports and Elite Athlete Program, Volunteering program, Advocacy service, and key events throughout the year at our campuses.
The Events & Experience Officer operates under the direction of the Team Leader and is responsible for supporting the achievement of Swinburne Student Life’s values, mission and goals.
The role of the Events & Experience Officer is to conduct all the administrative and operational aspects of the Events service for Swinburne Student Life, delivering quality student experiences through events, fixed engagement space and place making.
The Events & Experience Officer will demonstrate relevant knowledge and experience with the ability to perform tasks proficiently. They will represent Swinburne Student Life and the University to industry, community and government and have the ability to establish and maintain professional and collaborative opportunities.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Support the Team Leader and conduct operational and project aspects of the service with the respective team members. This includes the advice, support, liaison and assistance to Swinburne, students and other stakeholders as necessary
- Deliver outstanding customer service to Swinburne, students and stakeholders
- Contribute to the Events team to deliver best practice services
- Conduct and administer all aspects and functions relating to Events
- In conjunction with the Team Leader, promote and deliver integrated and innovative policies, programs and practices that harness and improve the cultural diversity capacities and resources of Swinburne Student Life, and Swinburne’s diverse community
Qualifications
A relevant tertiary qualification or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
